Welcome to the Strength Zone
Welcome to the Free Weight Zone
We know people like to exercise in different ways and hence why we offer a wide range of fitness activities within The Club. This extends into the 240m2 Gym which we have divided into 4 work-out zones. Each of these focuses on a different way to achieve your fitness goals.
The Cardio Zone: A popular area to get your heart rate going! This Zone includes the traditional favourites: Treadmills, Cross-trainers, Steppers, Bikes, a StairMaster and a Rower.
The Strength Zone: The 9 strength machines located in this Zone enable a total body workout of your main muscle groups. These include 2 Dual Pulley machines so if you are looking to tone up or increase your strength then these can offer multiple options for your whole body.
Also included in the Strength Zone are Chest Press, Pec Dec, Shoulder Press, Leg Press, Inner and Outer Thigh machine, Leg Extension and Leg Curl.
The Functional Zone: This Zone focuses on you completing typical every day movements but in an exaggerated manner using either your own body weight or weights such as Power Bags, Kettle Bells or Dumb Bells.
The Zone also features Battle Ropes, various floor and bench based core enhancing exercises, a K08 (which is equivalent to TRX), Squat Plate, Dip and Monkey Bars, Punch Bag and Skipping Ropes. It also includes the Tornado Air Bike – the perfect tool for a total body workout! With a dual action that works both your arms and legs, the bike is great for cardio sessions. It differs from a normal exercise bike in that the faster you pedal, the more resistance is created.
The Free Weight Zone: For those of you who want to pump iron, the dedicated Free Weight Zone includes a Squat Rack, Olympic Benches, Plates and Weights, Dumb Bells up to 50Kg, a Smith Machine, Preacher Curl and several free benches to support your workout.
